Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo

Chairman & Founding Partner

Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo is the Chairman and Founding Partner of IOC Law.

He holds degrees in Political Science (Ibadan) and Law (Unilag). He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1984 and started his legal practice with Magnus Egin Atie & Co and later proceeded to Sanyaolu, Baba & Co before founding Iyiola Oyedepo & Associates in 1990.

He has been in active practice and has represented clients before several courts and tribunals up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He was Legal Adviser Social Democratic Party (1990-1992) State Legal Adviser, Action Congress of Nigeria (2006-2008).

He also served in the Kwara State House of Assembly (1999-2003) where he was the Chief Whip and the Chairman of the widely acclaimed Public Petitions Committee. He is currently the Chairman Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti

He is a widely traveled person, prolific author, public affairs commentator and has brought to bear on the firm his extensive experience and contacts.

Iyiola Olatunde Oyedepo

Managing Partner

Iyiola Oyedepo (II) has practiced as a Commercial Lawyer for almost two decades.

He started as an associate at Matrix Solicitors LLP where he represented Clients in a broad range of sectors.

He later proceeded to Servetek Group, a conglomerate with interest in Telecoms, Construction and Information Technology where he served on the Board as Group Company Secretary.

He assumed the position of Managing Partner of IOC LAW in 2014 and has led the firm into a new era of growth and regeneration

He is regarded as a leading voice of Corporate Compliance and Enterprise Development in Africa.

Over the years he has advised clients across diverse sectors inclusive but not limited to Financial Services, Securities, Agri -Business, Real Estate, Information Technology and is renowned for his business flair and deep understanding of the entrepreneurial mind-set .

In his spare time he volunteers with Widows Might and Common Cause Initiatives,a non-profit with the objective of mobilizing the citizenry to become involved in improving their community and measuring governance.

He is a Chartered Arbitrator, Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Member of the International Bar Association and Member Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Adebola Adekoya (Mrs)

Senior Associate

Adebola is a Senior Associate with IOC LAW

She is an active member of the Non-Contentious Business Unit and has developed a flair for business formation, transaction advisory and regulatory compliance.

Farouk Obisanya

Farouk’s expertise is a blend of dispute resolution and transactional law.

He represents clients across courts and panels on a broad range of legal disputes and advises individuals and organizations on corporate and commercial dealings.

Paul Ogonnaya Samuel

Associate

Paul is an innovative and goal-driven young lawyer with a deep driving desire for excellence. He holds a First Class Division from the Nigerian Law School (2018) and a Second Class Upper Division from the Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University where he emerged as the Third Best Graduating Student (2017).

He is a formidable team player and a seasoned leader with an uncommon analytical mind and the ability to understand and solve complex legal problems. His practice areas include Corporate & Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution.

He is currently a key player in the Dispute Resolution and Business Law Unit of the firm.

Adetoun Hakeemat Shittu

Adetoun was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2019 and specialises in Commercial Law, Real Estate and Regulatory Compliance.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association as well as an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators

Peace Jadesola Olawoye

Peace is an Associate with IOC LAW.

She is part of the Non Contentious Business Team with specialty in Regulatory Compliance, Commercial Law, Real Estate and Medical Law.

She is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Azu as he is fondly called is an Affiliate of IOC LAW

He has represented clients across Courts of Superior Record in Nigeria.
