THE ENTERPRISE ZONE

Entrepreneurs tend to be creative visionaries but also tend to get distracted by the excitement of their idea. Building a lasting, profitable business is challenging, it goes beyond the idea and there is no set roadmap for success.

Common challenges for businesses bother around Finance, Personnel and Legal. Consequently there is the need for serious business owners to strengthen these centers in other to have a sustainable business.

Based on our constant engagement with startups and SME’s, we are aware of the deficiencies which typically lead to failure, hence our resolve to  birth “The Enterprise Zone” which was officially launched on the 19th of December 2018 during the public presentation of the book Essays on Nigerian Business Law.

The Enterprise Zone is a coalition of service providers offering tailor-made services to SME’s along the key support centers of HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing and ICT. The initiative seeks to incubate and accelerate businesses. It also has the ambition to mentor 1000 business champions by the year 2023.

The event showcased a Panel Discussion anchored by Kelechi Mbah (Mandela Washington Fellow and Serial Entrepreneur). Discussants included Augustine Edet ( Founder, SavviLaw Firm and Faculty Member, EDC Lagos Business School) Bunmi Dawodu ( Director SMEDAN, Ogun State) and Sanusi Idowu (Mandela Washington Fellow, CEO, MAPS  Limited, Founder DFS Professional Services). The Book was reviewed by Seun Abimbola.
